From Hauler To Base Camp – This Dunkel Industries Luxury Ford F650 4×4 Expedition Truck Does It All
For most of us towing isn’t fun, but it’s a necessity sometimes. It’s all about the stress of driving with a trailer – it just takes the fun out of the road. You can’t really enjoy the trip. It doesn’t matter if you tow your show car, track car or rock crawler. You have to think about the trailer weight distribution and you end up driving in the slow lane. What if you own a huge truck like Ford F650 and you could drive your ride onto the bed of your truck. There’s even more – what about having a truck that could double as a motorhome. The same truck could also take you to places where no ordinary motorhome could go.
The guys at Dunkel Industries gathered all this into one amazing pickup. The base is a Ford F-650. In the very beginning they split the entire cab into three sections and widened it with 22 inches in a total. The base was then lengthened by 104 inches. The designers created custom body sides and added some extra headroom behind the front seats. As you could see from the photos there is a sleeper loft over the front passengers. What do you think? There is a lot more – a shower, a bathroom, a bedroom, dual refrigerators, microwave, two-burner stove and 18,000-BTU heater/air conditioner.
The power for all those electric units is coming from the onboard 4,000-watt Cummins/Onan quiet diesel generator.

The passengers in the front are basically sitting on a bench.
