Watch This Epic Dodge Drag Race – Hellcat vs Nitrous Challenger SRT8
It’s all about the Dodge Challenger in this article. There are many forms that we could see this muscle car – from the base SXT model up to the Hellcat version. We don’t want to talk about the nitrous systems that could be added in addition. If you are the customer you have a lot of options to choose from when it comes to buying a new Dodge Challenger. In our case on the left side we have the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. This offers seriously awesome engine under the hood. You could purchase the car with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. Under the hood we have the 6.2-liter HEMI V8 supercharged engine with some insane performance numbers – 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. If you are willing to drive faster then you should pick up the automatic as it hits the 60MPH in 3.6 seconds. If you are looking for fun then pick up the manual.
The manual transmission is a little bit slower but offers more fun. With a manual you could hit 60 MPH in 3.9 seconds. On the other lane we have another Dodge Challenger, but the model is SRT8. You could have this with a 6.4-liter V8 engine under the hood. The power output here is 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. The SRT8 model is offered again with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic. The good thing about the SRT8 in the video uploaded by TheBayAreaRacing is that the owner upgraded his ride with a nitrous system. We are not given more information about the performance numbers of this upgraded Dodge Challenger SRT8, but we guess that the power is close to its bigger brother.
In the end we are going to see which one is faster – the stock supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V8 or the 6.4-liter V8 engine with the nitrous system added.
