On the left side here we have a McLaren P1. This car was revealed to the public at the 2012 Paris Motor Show as a limited production hybrid sports car. The production of this model was sold out by November 2013 with a total number of 375 units. Under the hood here we have a 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine. The heart of this speed monster is very similar to the MP4-12C engine.
Until now there is nothing special to do with this car. But the turbo chargers boost the engine at 2.4 bar. This way we have a 727-horsepower output and 531 lb. ft. of torque at 7500 RPM. And that’s not all. In addition the petrol engine is combined with an electric motor that produces 176 horsepower and 192 lb. ft. of torque. The final performance numbers are 903 horsepower and 722 lb. ft. of torque.
