See The Results – Crushing 21 Batteries with Big Hydraulic Press
Today we are going to see what will happen if you crush 21 batteries with a big hydraulic press. Yes, that’s right. The video is about getting 21 AA Duracell batteries crushed at the same time. If you are curious what’s in one of those little cylinders, let’s have a look. All batteries consists of one or more electrochemical cells. The cells inside got external connections provided to power all kinds of electrical devices. Radio devices, flashlights, cell phones and even cars. There are two known forms of batteries – primary and secondary. This is how batteries are classified.
The first category (primary) are supposed to be used until exhausted of energy. Right after that they are useless. The second category (secondary) could be used multiple times. In other words they could be recharged. You could find batteries in many shapes and sizes. Today we are going to see what will happen if we try to crush 21 AA Duracell batteries with a big hydraulic press. This type of batteries are also known as dry cell types. It could basically operate in any orientation without spilling. Other cell types are – wet cells, molten salt and reserve batteries.
We are not in school now but we are going to have a look at this video just to see what happens.
