The Hellcat Has Been Billed As A Supercar Killer, But Does It Have What It Needs To Go Up Against A Camaro ZL1?
This time the Dodge Challenger Hellcat challenges Camaro ZL1 in one epic drag race. During the latest couple of years the Hellcat proved that it’s a real supercar killer. There is one thing related to this amazing car that is considered to be a negative thing in the whole setup – the weight. The curb weight of 4560 lbs. on the Dodge Challenger Hellcat is something that you should pay attention when drag racing another sport car. This time we have a ZL1 standing there with weighing in at 4162 lbs. and on the top of that with some extra horsepower under the hood. If you compare these cars you will find that the Challenger is heavier and less aerodynamic. Does the 707-horsepower monster have what it needs to go up against the pumped Camaro?
The 707-horsepower Dodge welcomes all rivals. In the list with cars and bikes that the Challenger is supposed to race, we could find Camaro ZL1, C6 Z06 and even a sport bike. In the video on our next we are going to see a video from our friends High Tech Corvette who managed to put these two bada$$ muscle machines to the test. It was a day full of drag races and the Hellcat was ready to welcome all challengers. Indeed the Challenger lost to a few but the race with the ZL1 is a mystery that we are going to solve on our next page. We have 707 horsepower attached to a 4560-lbs curb and 580 horsepower 4162-lbs Camaro.
This is going to be a tough race. In the end we are going to have only one winner.
