This Is One Heavily Modified 2013 Supercharged Camaro ZL1 From “Turbo”
When it comes to power and modifying cars it’s never enough. The guys always want more and more. In this video we are going to show you one really insane Chevy Camaro ZL1. It’s heavily modified and it is supercharged. The car got a name – ‘Turbo’. It comes from the company that ordered this car: Dreamworks. They wanted that car to promoted their animated movie “Turbo” from 2013.
As this car is a concept, it does not only seem bad, it is really a fast car. The car was modified heavily by one Hollywood company in order to get that look. At the very beginning it was just an ordinary Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. In the end the car was “Turbo” Camaro Coupe. The whole idea behind building that machine was to promote the movie “Turbo”.
From outside the car you could notice the huge rear wing attached to the trunk, the custom made exhaust system, flared arches, new front splitter, new rear diffuser, the COPO custom built hood and of course the big thing sticking out from the hood – the enormous supercharger. We have a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 engine under the hood coming with the ZL1 version, but in this case – some guys played with it a little bit in order to increase the amount of horsepower. The same engine could be found inside a Corvette ZR1.
With this supercharger added we have a total of 700 horsepower under the hood and 556lb ft of torque. This mean machine could go from 0 to 60 MPH in 3.9 seconds and it could reach a top speed of 184 MPH. It’s not a super fast car and it is not definitely a 10-seconds car. This Camaro ZL1 hits the quarter mile in 12 seconds.
